4th gen no.1 Kpop group right now, Tomorrow X Together released another album. The boy group, consisting of the members Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and HueningKai, released their third full album and their sixth one in total since their debut in early 2019. This album is a continuation of their album series ‘The Chaos Chapter’. In may they released ‘The Chaos Chapter: Freeze’ and on the 17th August they continued with ‘The Chaos Chapter: Fight Or Escape’. This album has an emo rock style mixed with some upbeat, funky and emotional B-sides, talking about the struggles of love, their teen feelings of the pandemic and a letter to their fans ‘moas’.
Although this album has only got two extra songs and the rest are from ‘Freeze’ the incredible concepts, songs, choreos and music videos are something you don’t want to miss out on. “Lo$er Lo♡er “ is the title track of this album alongside “Moa Diary”. “Lo$er Lo♡er” has a dark emo style and expresses the troubles and pains that come with love. “Moa Diary” is an upbeat, fun song that is for Moas, it means if they sing the main line of the chorus in times of need, TXT will be there to help.
Often people back away from Kpop, the language barrier being the main cause, even though lyrics weave between Korean and English. However many people think there's no point in listening to music if you don’t completely know the full meaning on the songs, but TXT are here to prove you wrong!
Kpop is widely popular thanks to 2nd gen groups, like SHINee, BigBang, Super Junior, Girls Generation and Wonder Girls, who carved kpop into having different styles and concepts. So when 3rd gen groups, like Exo and Got7, came along kpop got even more popular. Then, in 2013, came BTS. Unlike other groups, BTS came from a small, unknown and poor company called BigHit Entertainment. They went through many, many struggles to film music videos because they had no money, but very slowly, with extreme amounts of hard work, they worked their way to the top, they were the first kpop group to get western awards and sold out huge arenas and stadiums worldwide “We’ve been lucky, but we worked hard for that luck”- Jeon Jungkook, main vocalist, lead dancer, sub rapper, centre and youngest of BTS. This made BTS become the biggest boy band in the world right now. After this other groups like Twice, Blackpink and NCT came along and added to the popularity of kpop. Then in 2017-2020 came the 4th gen groups, Stray Kids, Ateez, Itzy, TXT, Aespa and Enhypen. In 2019 TXT debuted with their song ‘Crown’ with BigHit Entertainment, and being known as “BTS’ little brothers” they very quickly grew in popularity and became the 4th gen leaders of kpop.
This album not only has amazing choreos from the songs “Lo$er Lo♡er”, “Moa Diary”, “No Rules”, “Magic”, and “0X1=Lovesong” but it also has fantastically filmed, scripted and directed music videos. These music videos are cinematic masterpieces and will shock you, excite you and bring a tear to your eye. “Chaos Chapter: Fight Or Escape” is just just a small taste of the talent and incredibleness that is Kpop, from the vocals, visuals, stages, wardrobes, acting and choreography, it is extraordinary.
For anyone who wants an album to blast in the car, cry to, dance to, party to and just vibe to, this is the album for you. This album has everything you need and could ever want.
