World's youngest skateboarder, Sky Brown, is competing in the Tokyo Olympic Games this year! Sky was born on 12th July 2008 in Miyazaki, Japan. She started to skate at the tender age of 3.
World's youngest skateboarder, Sky Brown, is competing in the Tokyo Olympic Games this year! Sky was born on 12th July 2008 in Miyazaki, Japan. She started to skate at the tender age of 3.
“I used to watch my dad on his all the time, I would follow him around and as soon as I could, I was on one,” Sky Brown quoted. She is the only girl who can do a 720 (a double spin in mid air!)
As a member of GB’s national team, Sky travels for 3 months of the year, competing in competitions all over the world! Sky Brown has won many junior and adult competitions. She won gold in the UK Skateboard Championships in April 2019. She has a message for all the girls all over the world “I want to show girls all over the world what is possible.”
As well as this, she studies while she travels, living between California and Japan. She currently has 451,500 followers on Instagram and more than 5 million views on Youtube! On top of this, Miss Brown surfs, sings and dances. She won the US Dancing with the Stars Junior competition in 2018!
