If I ruled the world a lot would change! Currently, I believe that the people with the most power in the world are the governments. This is good because of the fact that adults can vote and have their opinions on the law. However, children under the age of 18 are not allowed to vote. In some ways this is good but I believe children should have more opportunities to give their thoughts to the government which will make everyone feel like they have a voice.
There are lots of problems in the world that the government faces such as global warming. Global warming is the rise of temperature throughout the world and this is impacting massively on the way animals and humans live their lives. First of all, the rise in heat is melting the ice in the arctic. This is causing polar bears and arctic animals to lose their land on which they live. Who wants to lose their home? I don’t! The melting of the ice is also causing floods by the increase of water in the ocean, causing destruction of towns near beaches. If you thought that was bad, these are only some of the many negatives about global warming! If I ruled the world, more charities and clubs which would raise money and do litter picks!
Another change I would make if I ruled the world is making rules to prevent over-farming. Over farming is where people farm too much. The reason this is a problem is because a lot of the time trees and habitats are removed to make room for the farms which leads to deaths of many animals which can lead to extinction. For example, the cutting of trees in the Amazon rainforest is causing a drop in the orangutan population and the reason they are cutting the trees is to farm oil. In addition to this, practically all animals are linked to a food chain therefore the extinction of one animal can massively affect another. This needs to change. If rules or laws were put in place then I’m sure the animals would appreciate it!
I would also try my best to create peace in the world by making sure countries don’t suddenly prepare massive armies and by making all the countries sign a peace agreement. In addition to this, I would also make sure that larger countries share resources which will help avoid disagreements and allow others to enter their country. The reason I would do these things to change war is because war is causing homelessness, deaths, injuries and more awful things. Ukraine is currently suffering from an attack from Russia which is causing traumatic experiences and severe injuries. Who would want to cause these terrible things?
Clearly I would change a lot, help stop global warming, end over farming, stop wars and much more. Hopefully the people with the most power in the world will help prevent the horrible things which are happening. If you ruled the world, what would you change?
