In this article we will be talking about Emma Watson, actor to activist. Her adventure through her careers has been unbelievable and very impressive. She has taken many career paths in her life starting from a young age.

Who is Emma Watson?

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris, France. She moved to England at the age of 5 after her parents had been divorced and attended the Dragon School. Emma was born on the 15th of April 1990 and now is 31 years old. She went to Brown University when she got older and then graduated at the age of 24. She has four siblings - Lucy, Alex, Toby and Nina - who she apparently gets along with. Jacqueline Luesby is the name of her mum and Chris Watson is her dad. She was a model, although Emma's main interest is acting. She has also successfully ventured into the world of modelling. Her passion for fashion has made her into a fashionista. Emma began her modelling career in 2005 with a photo shoot for Teen Vogue. At the age of 6, Emma had decided she wanted to become an actor so she pursued her dream by getting the degree she needed.

Her 'Harry Potter' career Ch

She maintained a high level of education at the same time she did all of the Harry Potter films, getting a degree at Oxford University in English Literature. She played the role of Hermione Granger. This production took over ten years to make and she stayed for all of it, however she almost left because the fame was too overbearing for her. She started this movie when she was only eleven years old and then became a famous actor - she is one of the most paid actresses in the world. Straight after Harry potter she graduated from Brown University with a bachelor’s degree. During her time in Harry Potter she found that she had a crush on co-star Tom Felton. Emma opened up about when she "fell in love" with Tom during the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts special, saying that it was a drawing Tom did of a skateboarding girl that kicked off her crush. The young stars were asked to draw a picture of what they believed God looked like, and Tom's drawing caught Emma's eye. “I just don’t know how to say it, I just fell in love with him,” Emma remarked. This led to her keeping a close eye on who was on set during filming.

Her as an activist

In July of 2014, Watson was appointed a Goodwill Ambassador for U.N. Women; that September, she delivered a rousing speech at the U.N. Headquarters launching the HeForShe campaign. The aim for this campaign was to bring more men into the feminist fold, because gender equality benefits everybody. “Being asked to serve as UN Women's Goodwill Ambassador is truly humbling,” said Emma. Emma has taken part in a campaign called The Book Fairies, what aims to plant books about climate change around the UK. Emma Watson, UN Women's Goodwill Ambassador, hid more than 40 books around Glasgow during COP26 for people to find. “If you truly pour your heart into what you believe in, even if it makes you vulnerable, amazing things can happen and will happen.”
