There has been a lot of tension between Arsenal and Manchester United fans both historically and to this day. Read about some of our Challenge Wednesday writers' opinions.

Arsenal’s rise to glory started in 1886, founded by a group of workers employed by the dial square workshop led by David Danskin and Jack Humble. Jack was David’s best friend who helped him found Arsenal. Jack Humble bought Arsenal’s first football. They moved to North London to the stadium Highbury in 1913 and in 2006 they moved to the Emirates. They play in the Premier League and their nickname is the Gunners also they have never been relegated. In 2003-2004 Arsenal were unbeatable and won the league. They also won a golden Premier League trophy. Arsenal signed Nicholas Pepe who cost £75 million and Man United’s is Paul Pogba, £89 million. Pepe is turning into a really good player unlike Paul Pogba. Pogba was good at Juventus but then he moved to United and he became awful, in my opinion. Thierry Henry is Arsenal’s all time top scorer.

I personally hate Arsenal because the team I support (Manchester United) is one of the better teams overall who know how to keep a team and use it properly. I think Arsenal wasted their money on bad players. In contrast, Man United went for lower priced players and only spent £80 million on their highest player while Arsenal spent a massive £75 million for Nicolas Pepe and now he is absolutely rubbish. Harry Maguire (Man United player) scored a goal against Tranmeere FC top right corner as they went on winning 6-0 against the league one team. Also, the Man United keeper David de Gea made 32 saves in one game which Man United won 3-1 in. He also broke a world record that game. The history between these two teams on trophies is vast as currently, Man United are further ahead of Arsenal on the trophies and position on the table.
