What is your aspiration? Becoming a vet? Becoming a teacher?

There are lots of obstacles that will come your way in life. This article is about aspirations and how to overcome the obstacles that will prevent you from reaching them.

What is an aspiration?

An aspiration is a hope or ambition of achieving something. It could be a dream job or an achievement in sports or arts. A dream job could be a vet, for instance. It could be something like a teacher all the way to a soldier in the army. There are so many jobs you can choose, you don’t have to have just one. When you have something you truly desire,

there will be obstacles to overcome and to overpower throughout the years to achieve your aspiration.

Obstacles

An obstacle could be that you’ve been told you “can’t do" something. You shouldn’t listen to this and don’t let it change your mind. Don’t let anyone change your mind. Do what you want to do and prove the people who think you “can’t do it” wrong! It doesn’t matter if you’re a girl or boy, you can do any job and anything you would like to do.

You need to study certain subjects to do a certain job. For instance, an author would need to study English and they’d need to be able to read well. For most people, not every subject is easy and it might be that you find the subject you need to study to achieve your aspiration difficult. If that’s the case, it is advised to ask a teacher, parent, sibling or friend for help. Or, you can try to pay more attention to that subject because maybe it was that you didn’t focus on it. Never hesitate to ask for guidance, every bit will help you.

One of the most common issues is that you’re putting yourself down. You shouldn’t be putting yourself down because you’re amazing! Be optimistic because doing so will improve not only you confidence, but your skills, as well. If this doesn’t work or if it goes too far, you should tell a parent, sibling, friend or an adult you can trust. Try being confident at what you do, it definitely helps.

Advice and Conclusion

Follow your passion and dreams! Don’t give up and try your best and be resilient. By this, we mean to never give up. Make sure to concentrate at school. Even if you don’t get the job, there are many other opportunities. If you can, it is advised you have a back-up job just in case. Finally, don’t let others dictate your life, you do what you want to do.

In conclusion, follow your dreams. You only have one life, and you have to live and enjoy it. Don’t let anyone get in your way of reaching your aspiration. If you try your hardest you will be able to succeed in achieving your goal. If you try your best all the time in school and get your A levels or GCSEs then you will hopefully be able to train and become what you want to be. Even if you don’t become what you wanted to be don’t put yourself down or think you're not good enough because you are, you just maybe would’ve been better off with a little bit of help or maybe to revise working up to say, tests or assessments.

You could also try to make examples in your head up of how people could have overcome the obstacles in achieving their goal. When overcoming obstacles in life towards getting a job in your adult life you have to make sure you do your best in school and make sure you do wells in all your subjects. If you don’t do well in one of your subjects or in an assessment in that lesson you could maybe ask a teacher or learning guide for some advice or help. Some parents may be able to give good advice if they’ve went through similar things when become what they are today.

“If you were born without wings, do nothing to prevent them from growing.” - Coco Chanel.

“Dreaming about being an actress, is more exciting then being one.” - Marilyn Monroe.

“Many people don’t have the ability to be rich, because they’re too lazy or they don’t have the desire or the stick-to-itiveness. It’s a talent. Some people have a talent for piano. Some people have a talent for raising a family. Some people have a talent for golf. I just happen to have a talent for making money.” - Donald Trump.

“’May the Force be with you' is charming but it’s not important. What’s important is that you become the Force – for yourself and perhaps for other people.” – Harrison Ford.
